Return to Workshops<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Open image Menus Menus (CTRL +) while clicking on the Alpha Channel to create a mask.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Click on RGB Channel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Click on Layers Tab<\/p>\n\n\n\n Now drag your image using the move tool (V) onto a new background image (sky). \n\n\n\nReplacing Skies<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
Select \u2018Channels\u2019
Pick image most contrasty, e.g. Blue or Red (Highest degree of contrast).
Select \u2018Image\u2019 (from menu)
Select \u2018Calculations\u2019 from dropdown.
Source 1 = Background
Channel = Blue or Red (see above)
Source 2 = Background
Channel = Blue or Red (see above)
Blending = Overlay
Mask = unticked
Result = New Channel
OK.
This creates a new alpha channel \u2013 \u201cAlpha 1\u201d under the blue channel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Image, Adjustments, Levels (or CTRL + L)
Move arrows -> & <- until foreground is black and sky is white.
OK.
Paint over any holes in foreground with a black brush.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Image, Adjustments, Invert or (CTRL+i)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
